Bend, Oregon and the surrounding communities of Redmond, Sisters, and Sunriver have become some of the best areas in America to live because of the great outdoor recreation and clean, safe environment. The Bend area offers its residents an excellent education system, with Central Oregon Community College now offering many 4 year program degrees as a satellite of Oregon State University. We also boast a wide variety of outdoor recreational activities, some on the national level. The Cascade Cycling Classic is a week long internationally recognized cycling event. Mt Bachelor, our local snow sport mountain, hosts several national events in both skiing and snowboarding, and we are home to Olympic ski medal winner, Kikki Cutter.
Among the many, many golf events, last year we hosted The Jeld-Wen Tradition, a major championship at Crosswater Golf Course. It is a private Heathland-Style golf course threaded by the Deschutes River and Honored by Golf Digest as one of "America's 100Greatest Courses".Crosswater is a stunning gated community just a little south of Sunriver Resort.
